Before You Arrive (At Home)
No eating or drinking:
Please do not eat, drink, or chew gum for at least 6 hours before your appointment. This includes water, mints, or candy. Following this guideline is essential for your safety under sedation.Have a companion with you:
You must have a responsible adult come with you to the appointment, stay at the office during your procedure, and drive you home afterward. For your safety, you will not be allowed to leave on your own.Wear glasses instead of contacts:
If you normally wear contact lenses, please wear your glasses on the day of the procedure.Dress comfortably:
Wear a short-sleeve shirt to allow easy access for the IV line. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best.
